GALLERIES

  • New Elements Gallery, 201 Princess St., Wilmington, NC will feature my most recent works, including Sun Dance, Azure Afternoon diptych,The Blues, and Flutter, at the 4th Friday opening, June 22, 2012. I will do an Exhibition Walk-Thru at the gallery Saturday, June 23, 2012 from 1-3 PM.  Nine works of mine including, Exhuberant VisionSun Season, and the 5" x 5" miniature Floating Moment, were part of the May/June 2008 exhibition, Paperworks. A photo of me with Garden Journal: First Bloom from my 2006 opening is available here. That mixed media piece, Fossil Flow and Enchanted Garden which won a $500 award of Excellence at the VMRC Park Gables Gallery 2005 national juried art exhibit, Harrisonburg, VA sold from that show.
  • Exhuberant Vision was included in Duration: School of Art & Art History Faculty & Faculty Emeriti Exhibition October/November 2007 in Sawhill Gallery, James Madison University, Harrisonburg, VA. A catalogue from that exhibition was published Spring 2008.  It is currently in a private collection in Paris.
  • Emerald Magic and Genesis were both purchased from my last solo show at 150 Franklin Street Gallery in Harrisonburg, VA , and are now in private collections in NY and NJ.
  • Coral Choreography was on display at The Little Gallery Holiday 2011 Exhibition, Smith Mt. Lake, Bridgewater Plaza, Moneta, VA. Most summers I conduct a demonstration of my papermaking and collage techniques on the deck outside the gallery . You can see me demonstrating outside here and in the gallery here. Recent purchases there were Balancing Act, formerly exhibited at the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen, VA, and Blue Chip Celebration.  Tropical Fantasy, a 22" x 32" watercolor and mixed media piece, was sold to a couple in WVA.
  • My last solo exhibition at Eastern Mennonite University's Hartzler Art Gallery, Harrisonburg, VA featured Strong MedicinePages from the Past:Z and Pages from the Past:S earlier shown at the Ellipse Arts Center, Arlington, VA. They are now in private collections in VA and IL.
  • Eleven of my artworks plus art by Margot Bergman were on display Oct./Nov. 2006 at Augusta Medical Center, Main Lobby Gallery, Fisherville, VA. Their art committee selected one to purchase for the AMC permanent collection.
  • Gala and Conversation were on exhibit at the Museum Store at the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, VA when it opened November 2008. Gala is now in a private collection in NC.
